Hello! I'm Henry Monteith, a passionate Computer Science student at the University of South Carolina.
I love computers and everything related to computers, and so this is what I have focused my studies around in both high school and university. I began programming at around the age of nine, using C# and Unity, and since then I have had a deep passion for software engineering and computer science.
In high school I took an interest in cybersecurity, joining my school's cybersecurity team and earning high placements in competitions at both the state and national levels, including earning 2nd place alongside my team at the 11th annual Palmetto Cyber Defense Competition in March 2024. At the same time, I also honed my programming skills - I built the initial codebase which would later become Sora, my main personal project at the moment.
In university, I have continued to pursue my passion for software engineering, taking courses in data structures, algorithms, and operating systems. On the side, I am also experimenting with machine learning and data science.
Above all, I love learning, building new things, and meeting new people, because there is always more to learn, more to build, and more people to meet. I am always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow, so if you have any opportunities or just want to chat, feel free to reach out to me!
Thank you for visiting my website, and I look forward to getting to know you!
